Benefits of a Home
Business By: Marlo Boux, Small Business
Coach
There are so many
benefits to working from home! Whether you become a consultant
with a lucrative and reputable company, or your start your own
venture from scratch, you will LOVE working from home.
The Benefits:
* Being home
with your children to provide them with that sense of
security, love and consistency they need
* The ability
to make your own business decisions and a sense of real
responsibility and ownership over your business
* You
are the boss of your own schedule - you work when it fits your
lifestyle and body clock
* Write-offs, write-offs,
write-offs! Whether you are a sole-proprietor, involved in a
partnership, or own a corporation, there are many expenses
that you can claim against your personal income or your
company such as car expenses, house utilities, childcare
expenses, supplies, business-related meals at restaurants, and
even interest incurred on your credit card from business
expenses-contact your local tax center for details
*
No long and stressful commute to work - not to mention that
you will save wear and tear on your car, save on gasoline and
possibly even save with lower car insurance rates
*
You will save money on business attire and those costly coffee
breaks and lunches out with co-workers that can add up to the
dreaded 'latte factor' where you see your hard earned money
dwindled away each month
* Reduction or elimination of
childcare expenses - say goodbye to the days where 40% or more
of your income was eaten by childcare costs!
*
Contentment in realizing your dream of living out biblical
values in both your family life AND your business life
Some Things to Keep in Mind:
*
Donald Trump once said that if he had one piece of advice for
entrepreneurs it would be to do what you absolutely love
doing. In other words, don't settle! Take the time to
investigate companies or find a niche you would love to
service as a business owner. If you aren't excited about the
product or service you are selling, no one else will be either
* Are you able to reach your target market in a
cost-effective and efficient manner? If you have a great
product but no easy way to tell people about it, you need to
find a way to make it happen or move on to something else
* Are there ways you can automate your business to
create residual streams of income so your business is working
for you even when you aren't? Online stores and affiliate
programs are great sources of residual income
* If you
wish to work as a rep for a company, investigate them and
speak to others who work for the company to ensure it delivers
on its promises and is otherwise operated with integrity
* Is the business actually profitable? There are so
many home businesses out there that talk big and fall flat on
delivery. Is your business going to be profitable? Don't just
factor in the cost of supplies, factor in your time! Your time
is valuable! Make it worth your while.
* Is there a
way you can set yourself apart from your competitors? Is the
market you are targeting saturated?
May God bless with
you with discernment, wisdom, prosperity, fulfillment and joy
in your business!
Sincerely,
Marlo Boux, B.A.
